Poland
In Poland there is a 24 hour fast before the Christmas dinner. Many families participate in star watching as it is a tradition there that no one eats before the first star is seen. They have a feast once the star is seen. The feast has 12 courses, one course in honor of each of the apostles. Families will often set a special plate out for a visitor on Christmas eve. This is for any unexpected visitor or for the Christ Child.
